Created for a wholesale/retail pet company, this application helps manage operations from animal procurement to retail sales and inventory management. It is currently running at three locations. It includes the following features:

Point-of-sales features handle sales of animals and various pet-related products. Allows bar code scanning to enhance speed and accuracy of customer processing. Prints sales receipts and adoption records.

Tracks batches (litters) and animals individually as they are purchased from breeders, picked up, immunized, processed and sold.

Stores vaccinations, tests and medications administered to animals and generates health certificates.

Manages inventory of animals and pet supplies.

Provides features for tracking and resolving post sale customer support issues.

Stores microchip numbers for animals.

Generates reports related to sales, inventory, customer support, store security, breeder issues and animal procurement.  Produces customized exports for manufacturer sponsored promotions

This application replaced an MS-DOS based POS system and a manual procurement system. The new automated system reduces time, effort and expense required to manage the various locations.

This system uses a Microsoft Access database and user interface. VB6 programs are used for system maintenance.   Bar code scanners are used for scanning of merchandise.
