Shipment Tracking and Reporting - Created for a well-known logistics company. Provides a customized portal for customers to monitor and manage their shipments.  Interacts with legacy corporate databases. Uses ASP.NET/C# as an interface to a SQL Server 2005 database.  Uses SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to retrieve and process data supplied in text extracts from the legacy system.

Vendor Interface Created for a large cruise line. Designed an interface between third party vendor software and the corporate point-of-sales system (POS).  The purpose was to allow transactions originating on the vendor system to be automatically entered into the POS. The interface included a database (SQL Server 2000), a small VB6 component, a .NET Windows service (VB.NET), and an ASP.NET/VB.NET website for configuration management and reporting.  Involved interaction with .NET web services and Microsoft Message Queue.

Testing System Assumed responsibility for maintaining and improving an existing database and application used for testing the company’s software.  Provided database administration (SQL Server 2005) including writing scripts for database maintenance as well as creation, implementation and documentation of overall backup and availability strategy.  Made fixes and added new features to application (ASP.NET/C#).

Event Registration Website - Created for a logistics firm.  Created a website to allow customers to register for company-sponsored events.  Includes an administrative interface for configuring the site, reporting and placing content into pages.  Used ASP.NET (C#) as an interface to a SQL Server 2005 database

Proposal Tracking System - Created for a Civil Engineering firm. Provided fixes and enhancements to an internal application designed to automate the proposal creation process.  This application will eventually be integrated with the corporate accounting system.  The application includes a .NET Windows client (VB.NET) and reports created with SQL Server Reporting Services.  Used MS SQL Server 2005.

Third Level Support Metrics and Reporting tool - Created for a well-known software development company. Tracks customer issues and their resolution and computes performance statistics.  Interacts with other corporate IT systems. Uses ASP.NET/C# as an interface to SQL Server 2000 Database.

Donor Adverse Event Application/Database - Created for a blood products company. Created an MS Access database to store information on adverse reactions experienced by donors during the donation process.  Created an MS Access user interface to permit data entry and reporting.  Also interacts with other corporate databases (MS SQL Server 2000 and Oracle 7).

Medical Billing Analysis Tool - Created a reporting and analysis tool used in designing billing algorithms.  Includes use of extended stored procedures to access external Visual Basic components directly from MS SQL Server.  Provides flexible reporting capabilities with MS Excel. Uses MS Excel as an interface to multiple MS SQL Server 2000 Databases.

MS Project Server Implementation/Customization - Recommended introduction and assisted with implementation of MS Project Server at a major software company. Created executables to synchronize Project Server database with other corporate databases. Customized MS Project user interface.

Document Management System - Created for a Civil Engineering firm to help surveyors manage scanned images of large drawings. Allows users to search drawings, view and upload new images. Used ASP.NET/VB.NET as an interface to SQL Server 2000 Database.

Web Service Interface to Versant Database - Created an ASP.NET/C# web service to function as an interface to a Versant object database. Provides instant access to the database from any network location.

Casino Player Tracking System - Developed for a casino cruise line in South Florida.   Stores general customer information as well as casino activity information for preferred customers.  The application is used for customer processing at embarkation and includes capability for capturing customer photos, scanning bar-coded ID cards and drivers licenses, designing and implementing promotions and printing boarding passes and complimentary awards.  Full reporting and analysis modules included. Reservations module later added. Used MS Access, VB6 and ASP.NET/VB.NET as an interface to MS Access Database.  Specialized printers, cameras, scanners and other hardware used.

Child Care Center Management System - Developed for a large hospital system in South Florida.  Captures detailed information on child immunizations, schedules, attendance and charges. Automatically generates bi-weekly uploads to the corporate payroll system.  Sends e-mail messages to employees for purposes of communicating periodic charges, immunization notices and other information. Used MS Access as an interface to SQL Server 2000 Database.

Corporate IT Data Repository - Created for very large IT department as a comprehensive warehouse of IT information.  Interacts with other corporate IT systems. Used ASP.NET/VB.NET as an interface to SQL Server 2000 Database.

Corporate Reviews Tool - Designed for the various product development teams of a software company.  The application facilitiates peer reviews and discussions of outputs (i.e., design documents, change requests) at various stages of the design process.  Used ASP.NET/VB.NET as a user interface to MS SQL Server 2000 database.

Corporate Metrics - Developed for a software firm, this application was designed for corporate management to facilitate monitoring and management of the product development process.  Accesses and compiles data from several MS SQL Server 2000 corporate databases.  Provides high level summary reports in graphic form. Used MS Access and MS Excel as a user interface to several MS SQL Server 2000/2005 databases.

Addiction Treatment Center - Created to help a hospital’s Addiction Treatment Center manage and track its load of patients including inpatients, outpatients and others.  Used MS Access for both UI and database.

Cardiac Patient Tracking - Developed for a large hospital system in South Florida, this application is designed to capture data concerning the diagnosis, treatment and outcomes of cardiac patients for both Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.  Designed using replication and tablet PCs so that users may enter data on the move.  Used MS Access for both UI and database.

Employee Telephone Management - Created a MS Access user interface to display/edit information in an Oracle 9i database.  The database houses detailed information on employee telephone calls. The system provides capability for analysis and monitoring of calls as well as an automated process for uploading call information from a telecommunications provider.

Tax transactions application - Created a MS Powerpoint user interface to graphically display/edit information in a MS Access database using VB automation.  The database houses financial transactions data and was created for a corporate customer of a law firm.

Corporate Resource Planning Tool - Designed an application for corporate management to facilitate planning, forecasting and tracking of resources on projects throughout the company.  Used MS Access and MS Excel as a UI to a MS Access database.

Insurance Reporting and Claims Management System - Developed for an insurance company that helps its clients manage workers compensation related issues.  Performs monthly calculations of metrics related to risk management at hundreds of customer branches.  Provides a claims contact management module to allow claims management personnel to view claims in detail and to manage all communications and information regarding claims.  Used MS Access and MS Excel as a UI to a MS Access database.

Financial Reporting Automation - Worked with the Financial Reporting department of a large multinational telecommunications company.  The goal was to automate the financial reporting process.  Created new and revised and automated existing reporting tools using a combination of Visual Basic, Microsoft Excel, Hyperion, SAP and other database tools.  This project completely changed the way this department operates.
