Code Enforcement

The console lists violations that require action by the code enforcement officer so that he/she may quickly see what remains to be done.

A GIS allows officers to locate a property and instantly view information such as folio, ownership and related properties.

Documents such as this Notice of Violation may be printed in the field. Note that the signature of the violator can be captured and saved and is displayed along with the signature of the officer.

Description

Developed for a civil engineering firm that specializes in software development, including applications that require geographical information systems (GIS).  This application was designed to automate the code enforcement process.  It includes the following features:

Designed to be used with tablet PCs and a wireless network to permit complete portability and ease of use for enforcement officers in the field.

Provides geographical search tools to enable officers to quickly find properties and their owners.

Provides a console that instantly shows the work required of each officer in terms of violations requiring reinspection, follow-up or delivery.

Allows officers to generate and print violation notices, affidavits and legal documents required in the code enforcement process.

Allows for capture of signatures.

Includes an officer scheduling module.

Benefits to client

This application is purchased by municipalities, many of whom still use a manual (paper) process for managing code enforcement. The benefits in this case are enormous and include more effective overall code enforcement and better utilization of code enforcement officers.
